This is the shit. A solid indie festival with a bunch of world class bands spread across four of Kreuzberg’s best venues. For a not entirely unreasonable price. Which is important since we’re all here living at the poverty line, romantic as that is, it does make one money conscious.
Our favourite Canadian kids Wolf Parade headline proceedings with a set at Magnet Club. The Lido stage is headlined by FM Belfast out of Iceland doing their electro indie thing, with Lyrebirds topping the night at Comet Club and Walter Schreifels (NY) at LUX.
The lineup is massive, with about 13 bands hitting the various stages, all of them in some way good and worthwhile. If you haven’t heard of them before, I highly recommend that you check out Customs out of Belgium, playing a very decent indie Interpol thing with great songs. Here’s a track from them, Justine, taken from their debut album, Enter The Characters, released last year:
And yet another hot tip, Teenagers In Tokyo (previously) out of Sydney via the UK, featured on the Lido stage at 11pm. Check out a track from them here:
